Minneapolis public schools closed Tuesday, Jan. 7 because of extreme cold

To protect Minneapolis schoolchildren from dangerously cold weather that's forcasted through Tuesday, Dr. Bernadeia Johnson, superintendent of Minneapolis Public Schools, announced today that all MPS schools will remain closed for a second day on Tuesday, January 7, due to extremely cold temperatures. The closures affect all MPS schools, programs and activities, including all Minneapolis Community Education programs and the Minneapolis Kids school age child care programs.
