Public meeting Oct. 29 on new St. Anthony Parkway Bridge over the Northtown Rail Yard

A public meeting is set for Tuesday, Oct. 29 on the design of a new bridge to replace the St. Anthony Parkway Bridge over the Northtown Yard. At the meeting, the public will have a chance to learn about the proposed design and share feedback.

The meeting will be held Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the River Village East community room, at 2919 Randolph St. NE. A presentation will begin at 6:15 p.m.

In this project, the current bridge will be removed and replaced with a new bridge. The design for the new bridge is a combination of a space-frame through-truss and steel girder bridge, and conceptual drawings will be shared at the public meeting.

At the meeting, the design team will seek community feedback on several design elements, including bridge color, railing design, lighting, and concrete texture.
