Plan ahead for this Thursday night’s Vikings game at the Metrodome
Vikings fans and Downtown workers will want to plan ahead for a busy evening this Thursday, Oct. 25. The Vikings play at 7:20 p.m. at Mall of America Field at the H.H.H. Metrodome. Some game-goers will arrive Downtown while daytime workers are heading home for the day, so it’s a good idea for fans to come early, beat the rush, and enjoy Downtown shopping and dining before the game. Taking a bus or train, biking, and walking are also great ways to avoid traffic.
As with all Vikings games, the City of Minneapolis will be closing several streets around the Metrodome as a security measure.
Beginning at 5 p.m. Oct. 25, the City will close the following streets:
- Fifth Street, from 11th Avenue to Park Avenue
- Chicago Avenue, from Third Street to Sixth Street
- Fourth Street, from Park Avenue to I-35W
- Norm McGrew Place, from Third Street to Fourth Street
These roads will reopen about two hours after the completion of the Vikings game (about 11 p.m.)
