"Railgating" returns to downtown Minneapolis Oct. 7
"Railgating" will return to downtown Minneapolis Sunday, Oct. 7 as the Purple Path reopens before the Vikings game against the Tennessee Titans.
The “Purple Path” made its debut Sunday, Sept. 23 with 16 food trucks lining two blocks of Fifth Street South near the Metrodome. This Sunday from noon – 4 p.m., 18 food trucks will be parked on Fifth Street between Fourth and Park avenues for fans to sample a wide variety of foods offered by these businesses before the football game.
The creation of the Purple Path and “railgating” is due to the cooperation among many local partners, including the Minnesota Vikings, Warehouse District businesses, mobile food truck operators and the entire downtown hospitality industry.
