Two public meetings scheduled for proposed changes to Minneapolis Civilian Review Authority

The Minneapolis Department of Civil Rights will hold two community meetings to receive community comments on the proposed changes to the Minneapolis Civilian Police Review Authority, which handles police misconduct complaints.

The department presented the proposed changes to the City’s Public Safety, Civil Rights, and Health Committee on July 25.

The committee will also hold a public hearing on the proposed changes to the Civilian Review Authority ordinance during its regularly scheduled meeting Wednesday Sept. 12.
