From 1980 to 2000, Webber-Camden's population increased nearly 10 percent, while the city's grew by 3.1 percent. The neighborhood actually lost 4.5 percent of its population between 1980 and 1990; fast growth took place from 1990 to 2000.

From 1980 to 2000 the younger populations increased and the senior population decreased. Adult residents steadily increased by 11 percent between 1980 and 2000. In 2000 the neighborhood had about 59 percent more children and adolescents than in 1980. In particular, the population between 5 and 17 years old grew by 73 percent between 1980 and 2000.

From 1980 to 2000, Webber-Camden's ethnic distribution changed dramatically. The white population was nearly halved during this time, while the populations of all other groups increased significantly. The black population grew from 64 people in 1980 to 1,651 people in 2000. Asians grew from 13 to 691 people and Hispanics increased from 51 to 264 people.
