Labor force

The Field population in the year 2000 had a labor force participation rate of 70 percent; Minneapolis' rate was 72 percent. This rate has fluctuated for the neighborhood, whereas the city has gradually increased in labor force participation between 1980 and 2000.

Field's unemployment rate rose from 1990 to 2000, where it hit 6.1 percent, while the citywide unemployment rate fell to 5.8 percent.
