The labor force participation rate was higher in Cedar-Isles-Dean than in Minneapolis in 1980 and 1990. In 2000 the proportion of people 16 years old and older working or looking for a job was the same in the neighborhood as in the whole city.
The unemployment rate was much lower in Cedar-Isles-Dean than in Minneapolis between 1980 and 2000, and the neighborhood rate was never above 2 percent. However, it was increasing in that period.
