Informational Sessions:

Hosted by the NRP Work Group

The Minneapolis City Council and Mayor R.T. Rybak would like to get feedback from the community on a recently proposed " Framework for the Future" of the Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP). The framework outlines the continuation of the NRP beyond 2009 and the program’s connection to the broader community participation work of the City. It was put together by the NRP Work Group that included representation from the City Council, Mayor Rybak’s office, and the director of NRP.

As the beginning step in gathering feedback from the community, the NRP Work Group is hosting informational sessions specifically about the framework. These sessions will have a brief overview of the report and focus on a question and answer period intended to offer a deeper understanding of what is being proposed. Ultimately the NRP Work Group would like to hear from as many people as possible to guide the group in building on the current program and bringing NRP into its next phase.

Everyone is invited to the informational sessions. Neighborhood board / council members and staff are especially encouraged to attend.

Please note that these sessions are intended to be informative and not the primary vehicle of gathering feedback about the framework.

See below for additional information about ways to submit input, details on the informational sessions, and more.
