Approve petition from Opus Development Corporation to rezone the property from C1, Neighborhood Commercial district to the C3A, Community Activity Center district (retaining the PO and UA Overlay districts) to allow for the construction of a 6-story, mixed use building with 140 dwelling units. (Ward 3)
Action Taken: Denied.

Appeal filed by 903 Washington Partners, LLC, from the decision of the Board of Adjustment granting an appeal of the Zoning Administrator’s determination that bus passenger loading and unloading at the property is classified as a Bus Turnaround under the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances, thus requiring a Conditional Use Permit. (Ward 7)
Action Taken: Postponed two cycles to the August 22, 2013, Z&P Meeting.

Subject matter of petition to rezone the properties from the R5 to the R6 Multiple-family District, retaining the UA Overlay District, to allow for a new 6-story residential development. (Wards 2 and 3)
Action Taken: Approved.
4. 301 and 311 East Lake Street:
Consider recommendation of the Planning Commission to approve the petition from International Bazaar on Lake, LLC, and Miller Block, LLC, to rezone the properties from the C1 to the C2 Neighborhood Corridor Commercial District. (Ward 8)
Z&P Action Taken: Postponed to the August 8 meeting.
