 1.  Shingle Creek Elementary School, 5034 Oliver Ave N:
      Appeal filed by Clyde Kane, on behalf of Minneapolis Public Schools, from the decision of the Heritage Preservation Commission denying the Demolition of Historic Resource application for Shingle Creek Elementary School (Ward 4).

      Staff Report:  Shingle Creek Elementary Hearing Notice; Shingle Creek Elementary RCA

Action Taken:  Appeal granted, subject to the action being stayed for a period of 180 days to allow the School District to market the property.  City Attorney's Office directed to draft findings in support of the Committee's action.

 2.  Hennepin Energy Recovery Center (HERC), 419 5th St N, aka 505 6th Ave N:
      Appeal filed by Covanta Energy, on behalf of Hennepin County Environmental Services, from the decision of the City Planning Commission, n/w/s  the recommendation of staff, denying application for an amended conditional use permit for the Hennepin Energy Recovery Center to allow for the facility to process at its designed capacity of 1,212 tons of waste per day (Ward 5).

 3.  Charlie Nestor, 1515-1515 1/2 Central Ave NE, 1600 Fillmore Ave NE, and 1611 Polk St NE:
      Approve petition to rezone the properties to add the IL Industrial Living Overlay District to the existing I1 Light Industrial District and I2 Medium Industrial District to allow more flexibility in uses that reflect the changing character of the area (Ward 1).

Action Taken:  Approved.

 4.  401 Nicollet Mall Project, 401 Nicollet Mall and 47 S 4th St:
      Approve application by Faegre Baker Daniels, LLP, on behalf of GDSX, LLC, to vacate multiple alley and sidewalk easements in the block bounded by Nicollet Mall, S 4th St, S 5th St, and Marquette Ave, subject to the provision of easements dedicated to Qwest over the entire described areas to be vacated, to permit construction of a new 9-floor office building with enclosed ground level parking stalls located on Nicollet Mall (Ward 7).

 5.  The Interchange, 417 N 5th St (528 N 7th St):
      Approve petition to rezone the property from the I3 (General Industrial) District to the B4N (Downtown Neighborhood) District, retaining the DP (Downtown Parking) Overlay District to allow for a new multi-modal transportation hub (Ward 5).

      Approve designation as a local historic landmark the Chase Residence by passage of a resolution designating the subject property (Ward 8).
