Public Hearings

1. Moratorium Waiver (3028 Cedar Avenue S):

Consider application by SYN, LLC, for a waiver from moratorium on establishment, reestablishment or expansion of principal parking facilities in the area bounded by Chicago Avenue, Midtown Greenway/Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority right-of-way, E 31st Street & Hiawatha Avenue, in order to allow for a principal parking facility (Ward 9).

Action Taken: Waiver from the moratorium denied

Consent Items

2. Sparrow Café (2500 Fifth Street NE, 415 Lowry Avenue NE):

Approve rezoning (BZZ-4321) of property from R2B to the C1 zoning district to permit a restaurant (Ward 1).

Action Taken: Approved

3. Church of St. Helena (3204 43rd Street E):

Approve vacation of the public alley bounded by 32nd Ave S and 33rd Ave S, and 43rd St E and 44th St E, subject to easements, for use as a parking lot and drive aisles (Ward 12).

Action Taken: Approved

4. Zoning Code Map Amendment (46th Street LRT Station Area rezoning):

Approve the rezoning of properties from residential to commercial, and find that obtaining consent signatures for the rezoning would be impractical (Ward 12).

Action Taken: Approved as amended, to remove the properties at 4737 and 4740 Minnehaha Avenue from the Pedestrian Oriented (PO) Overlay District
