Approve ordinance amending Title 23, Chapter 599 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Heritage Preservations Regulations, (to update regulations related to demolition, designation, and historic resources; to introduce article on conservation districts; and to clarify (as housekeeping) language within each article of the chapter).

Approve ordinances amending Title 20 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Zoning Code, regarding revising sign regulations applicable to a regional sports arena to allow additional signage to the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, as follows:

a. Chapter 543 relating to On-Premise Signs;

b. Chapter 544 relating to Off-Premise Advertising Signs and Billboards.

Action Taken: Approved as Amended, to limit the size of the allowed free standing sign to its current height

3. Ground Level Active Uses (Zoning Code Text Amendment):

Subject matter of ordinances amending Title 20 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Zoning Code, (requiring buildings to accommodate ground level active functions facing public streets), as follows:
a. Chapter 530 relating to Site Plan Review, and

b. Chapter 535 relating to Regulations of General Applicability.

Recommended Action/Action Taken: Referred to CPED/Planning Division
