APPROVAL OF AGENDA

The commission may take action on items as part of a consent agenda at the beginning of the meeting. In these instances, the commission president will open the public hearing at the beginning of the meeting and will ask whether anyone would like to provide testimony or express concerns about items recommended for the consent agenda. 1.      626 5th St NE, Ward 3

The Department of Community Planning and Economic Development recommends that the Zoning Board of Adjustment adopt staff findings for the application by James and Katherine Gerhardinger for the property located at 626 5th St NE:

A.     Variance.

Recommended motion: Approve the variance to reduce the required front yard setback from twenty feet to 8.7 feet for a single-family dwelling, subject to the following conditions:

1.      Approval of the final site, elevation, and floor plans by the Department of Community Planning and Economic Development.

2.      All site improvements shall be completed by April 11, 2021, unless extended by the Zoning Administrator, or the permit may be revoked for noncompliance.

2.      3049 E Lake Calhoun Pkwy, Ward 10

The Department of Community Planning and Economic Development recommends that the Zoning Board of Adjustment adopt staff findings for the application by Rudy Luther and Christina Acato for the property located at 3049 East Lake Calhoun Parkway:

A.     Variance.

Recommended motion: Approve the variance to reduce the front yard setback adjacent to East Lake Calhoun Parkway from twenty feet to 18.4 feet for a single-family dwelling, subject to the following conditions:

1.      Approval of the final site, elevation, and floor plans by the Department of Community Planning and Economic Development.

2.      All site improvements shall be completed by April 11, 2021, unless extended by the Zoning Administrator, or the permit may be revoked for noncompliance.

3.      1512 56th St E, Ward 11

The Department of Community Planning and Economic Development recommends that the Zoning Board of Adjustment adopt staff findings for the application by Stephen and Lisa Austria for the property located at 1512 56th St E:

A.     Variance.

Recommended motion: Approve the variance to increase the maximum floor area of detached accessory structures and attached accessory uses intended for the parking of vehicles from 1,000 square feet to 1,407 square feet, subject to the following conditions: 

1.      Approval of the final site, elevation, and floor plans by the Department of Community Planning and Economic Development.

2.      All site improvements shall be completed by April 11, 2021, unless extended by the Zoning Administrator, or the permit may be revoked for noncompliance.
