1.   2221 St Anthony Parkway (BZZ #6292, Ward 1) (Robb Clarksen)
Variance: Steve Schmitz, of Keller Williams Realty, on behalf of Patrick and Carly Felicetta, has applied for a variance to reduce the front yard setback for a reverse corner lot along McKinley St NE from 20 feet to 7.3 feet to allow for the construction of a new single family dwelling at 2221 St Anthony Parkway in the R1 Single-Family Residential District.
Action: The Board of Adjustment adopted staff findings and approved the variance to reduce the front yard setback for a reverse corner lot along McKinley St NE from 25 feet to 7.3 feet to allow for the construction of a new single family dwelling at 2221 St Anthony Parkway in the R1 Single Family Residential zoning district, subject to the following conditions of approval:
  1. The finished floor height of the first floor of the proposed dwelling shall not exceed four feet in height above average natural grade.
  2. The applicant shall obtain an erosion control permit as necessary to complete the project.
  3. Approval of the final construction plans (site/elevation/floor) by the Department of Community Planning and Economic Development.

Variance: Don Gerberding, of Master Properties, on behalf of Lake Ltd., has applied for a variance of the screening and landscaping requirements for a proposed accessory surface parking lot located at 3408 Lake St E in the C2 Neighborhood Corridor Commercial District.
Action: The Board of Adjustment adopted the staff findings and denied the variance of the screening and landscaping requirements for a proposed accessory surface parking lot located at 3408 Lake St E in the C2 Neighborhood Corridor Commercial District.

Unfinished Business
The BOA has five open seats. Staff is forwarding an advisory list to the City Planning Commissions CoW November 14, 2013. Staff is recommending reappointments for Thompson, Cahill, Ogiba and Finlayson. Staff is recommending Jacob Saufley for a new appointment fulfilling Meier’s open seat.
New Business
The holiday party for BOA, HPC, and CPC will be at Atlas Grill December 16, 2013.
Staff is looking for feedback on paperless packets.
