Public Hearings
1.   Penn, Penn E & McKinley Areas, Girard and Humboldt Aves N Street Resurfacing Project (15-00181)
a)     Approving resolution ordering the work to proceed and adopting special assessments in the amount of $2,381.933.91 for the project; and
b)     Approving resolution requesting the Board of Estimate and Taxation to authorize the City’s issuance and sale of assessment bonds in the amount of $2,381,935 with the bonds to be paid for from special assessments. (Refer to W&M)
Action Taken:  Approved.
2.   Sale of City-Owned Land to the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority (15-00069)
Authorizing the proper City officers to conduct a real estate closing and execute a Quit Claim Deed to the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority for the sale of two segments of public right-of-way along 4th St S and 5th St S for the current market value of $1,572,000. (Refer to W&M)
Action Taken: Approved.

3.   MPCA Grant for Commercial Waste Evaluation (15-00182)

Authorizing acceptance of a Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) Environmental Assistance Grant in the amount of $26,567 to evaluate approaches to increase the diversion of commercial, industrial, and multifamily waste; and directing the Division of Solid Waste & Recycling to perform tasks outlined in the Grant Agreement. (Refer to W&M)
Action Taken: Approved.
4.   Hennepin-Lyndale Corridor Street Reconstruction Project & Design Contract Amendment (15-00183)
a)     Approving resolution designating the location and improvements proposed to be made in the Hennepin-Lyndale Corridor Street Reconstruction Project (Franklin Ave W to Dunwoody Blvd);
b)     Receiving the cost estimate of $12,000,000; directing the City Engineer to prepare proposed special assessments against the list of benefited properties; and setting a public hearing to be held on June 9, 2015; and
c)     Authorizing increase of $240,450 to the Engineering Services Agreement with Kimley Horn and Associates, Inc., for a revised contract total of $1,148,905, for preliminary and final design of the Hennepin-Lyndale Corridor. No additional appropriation required. (Refer to W&M)
Action Taken: Approved.
5.   31st St E Street Resurfacing Project (15-00184)
a)     Approving resolution designating the location and improvements proposed to be made in the project; and
b)     Receiving the cost estimate of $339,774; directing the City Engineer to prepare proposed special assessments against the list of benefited properties; and setting a public hearing to be held on April 21, 2015.
Action Taken: Approved.
6.   35W South Storm Tunnel Rehabilitation Cooperative Construction Agreement (15-00185)
Authorizing execution of a Cooperative Construction Agreement with the Minnesota Department of Transportation for cost participation in the I-35W South Storm Tunnel Rehabilitation Project.  (Refer to W&M)
Action Taken: Approved.

7.   Bid (15-00186)

OP 8039, Accepting low bid of Hydromax USA, LLC for an estimated expenditure of $559,871.90 for closed circuit inspection of the City’s sanitary sewer system. (Refer to W&M)
Action Taken: Approved.
