 Licenses & Consumer Services

 1.  License Applications:
      Grant licenses recommended for approval.
      (See separate Licenses Agenda - Not available in electronic format)  
      Action Taken:  Approved.

 2.  Travel Traders Hotel Stores,1001 Marquette Ave: 
      Approve License Settlement Conference recommendations relating to Tobacco Dealer License.
      Staff Report:  Travel Traders LSC   
      Action Taken:  Approved.

 Department of Regulatory Services

 3.  Rental Dwelling License at 3623 Queen Ave N:
      Approve reinstatement of license to be held by Arshad Moghul.

 City Coordinator 

 4.  Earth Hour 2013:
      Approve resolution supporting Earth Hour 2013.

 Council Member Glidden

 5.  Setting Green City and Green Program Priorities:
      Establish a working group to include Council Members Elizabeth Glidden, Cam Gordon, Lisa Goodman, the Mayor's Office, and key staff from City Departments including, as requested, staff from Public Works, CPED, City Coordinator Divisions, Health, Police, Fire, and Regulatory Services to develop a process for and set priorities relating to:
       a)  Greening the City enterprise;
       b)  City support for green enterprises and green initiatives in the private and not-for-profit sectors.
       The working group will be led by the City Coordinator's Office and report back to the Regulatory, Energy & Environment Committee on progress no later than June 1, 2013.  In preparing process and priority recommendations, the working group will emphasize air and energy and utilize existing City policy guidance, including the GreenPrint and Climate Action Plan.    
      Action Taken:  Approved.

 6.  Staff Direction (Schiff):
      Staff directed to report back to the Regulatory, Energy & Environment Committee on April 4, 2013 regarding the status of pending demolition contracts for four properties and notify contractors as necessary that pending demolitions for these properties will be temporarily suspended.
       Action Taken:  Deleted from agenda.

 7.  Staff Direction (Schiff):
      Staff directed to investigate on the applicability of CPNC systems for taxicab licensing (such as those found in New York, Boston, and Chicago) in the City of Minneapolis and report back to committee when the study is complete.
       Action Taken:  Deleted from agenda.
