Police Department

 1.  Bomb Disposal Unit:
      Execute grant agreement with Minnesota Homeland Security and Emergency Management to receive $33,000 for use by the Bomb Unit for planning, exercises, training and equipment; and Approve appropriation. (Refer to W&M/Budget)

2.  2013 Presidential Inauguration Security Detail:
      Authorize up to 40 sworn Minneapolis Police Department officers to travel to Washington, DC to provide security for the 57th Presidential Inauguration ceremonies.

 3.  Auto Theft Prevention Program:
      Accept $200,392 and execute grant agreement with the Minnesota Department of Commerce to support existing program for two years to prosecute auto thieves and disseminate information to deter auto theft crimes; and Approve appropriation. (Refer to W&M/Budget)

 4.  Summer Clerkship Program:
      Accept grant award of $4,500 from the Minnesota Justice Foundation for the Complaint Investigations Unit to participate as a host "agency employer" in the Program; and Approve appropriation. (Refer to W&M/Budget)

 5.  Conference Travel Donation:
      Approve resolution accepting reimbursement of travel, lodging and expense costs for Karen Francois to travel to Washington, DC to attend the Living Cities sponsored conference focused on Transit Oriented Development to be held April 3 - 4, 2012.

 6.  Port Security Grant:
      Execute amendment to grant from Minnesota Department of Public Safety to accept $64,974 for an extension to complete the Port Wide Risk Management and Mitigation Plan; and Approve appropriation. (Refer to W&M/Budget)

 7.  School Based Clinic Program:
      Execute 2012-2013 site agreement with the Minnesota Campus Compact to act as a host site for a College Health Corps AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer to work in the School Based Clinic Program for one year ($7,000).

 8.  The VOICE Project:
