2016 Street Resurfacing Program: Project designations and setting public hearings

.     1.   Passage of Resolution designating the location and improvements proposed to be made in the following projects:

  1. 9th St S from Cedar Ave S to 19th Ave S/Minnehaha Ave.
  2. Kenny Area Residential bounded by 54th St W, Lyndale Ave S, 58th St W, and Irving Ave S/55th St W, including 56th St W from Lyndale Ave S to Irving Ave S.
  3. Standish Area Residential bounded by 38th St E, Hiawatha Ave, 42nd St E, and 21st Ave, including 36th St E from 23rd Ave S to 28th Ave S; 23rd Ave S from 35th St E to 38th St E; 28th Ave S from 36th St E to 38th St E; 43rd and 44th St E from Minnehaha Ave west to the railroad tracks; and Dight Ave from 41st St E to 43rd St E.
  4. Howe Area Residential bounded by 34th St E, Edmund Blvd, 38th St E, and 42nd Ave S, including 42nd Ave S from 34th to 42nd St E.
  5. Diamond Lake Area Residential bounded by Diamond Lake Rd E, Chicago Ave, Hwy 62 north frontage road, and 2nd Ave S, including Diamond Lake Rd E Frontage Rd from Hampshire Dr to its terminus.
  6. Franklin Ave SE from 27th Ave SE to Emerald St SE.
  7. Bryant Ave N from 45th Ave N to 53rd Ave N.
  8. Warrington Area Residential bounded by 36th St E, Chicago Ave, 42nd St E, and 2nd Ave S including 4th Ave S from Lake St E to 38th St E.

2. Adopting the cost estimate of $7,795,088; directing the City Engineer to prepare proposed special assessments against the lists of benefited properties; and setting public hearings as follows:

  1. Feb. 16, 2016 - 9th St S and Kenny Area Residential.
  2. March 1, 2016 - Standish Area Residential and Howe Area Residential.
  3. March 22, 2016 - Diamond Lake Area Residential and Franklin Ave SE.
  4. April 5, 2016 - Bryant Ave N and Warrington Area Residential.
