Referred with recommendation to approve by unanimous City Council vote a proposed ordinance, as amended, amending Chapter 3, Section 4 of the Minneapolis City Charter relating to Powers and Duties of Officers: Executive Committee, to include the position of the Director of Regulatory Services in the appointment process outlined in Chapter 3, Section 4.

Review 2010 Legislative Agenda (Previous Action Taken: Received & filed; continued as working document).

Action Taken: Approved 2010 Legislative Agenda, as amended by adding the following language/bullet points: a) In the Jobs and Economic Development/Minneapolis Supports section, "The legislature directing the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDoT) to provide opportunities for private businesses to lease air rights on MnDoT properties"; and b) In the Public Safety/Minneapolis Supports section, "Full exploration of the provision of forensic science services to law enforcement agencies in Hennepin County. (The City recommended a study in 2008 and the County has established a task force to make recommendations regarding the provision of services including the crime lab to the County Board by March 1, 2010)."
