1.   Neighborhood and Community Engagement Commission (NCEC) Appointments:

2.   Keeping of Honeybees:
Consideration of an ordinance amending Title 4, Chapter 74 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Animals and Fowl:  Miscellaneous Regulations, amending provisions related to the keeping of honeybees.  (by Bender; Introduced 4/25/14)

3.   School Based Clinic College Work-Study Program:
Authorize execution of annual agreements for up to five years with Hamline University and Augsburg College to provide work to students eligible to participate in the College Work-Study Program and authorize the Commissioner of Health to approve programmatic adjustments to the agreements as needed.  Students will be assigned to the School Based Clinic Program and the City will provide up to $2,500 annual funding to the schools to support the programs. (Refer to W&M)

4.   Healthy Homes Services Eligible Providers:
Accept the following list of Eligible Providers for three tracks of Healthy Homes Services for a three-year period through May 2017 selected as a result of an RFP process; and authorize execution of contracts with one or more of the Eligible Providers for Healthy Homes Services during the 2014-2017 period, as needed:

7.   Federal Accessibility Laws:
Direct NCR staff to present a Council Study session in August 2014 on Federal Accessibility Laws (Title II and Title VI) with the session covering the impact of laws for the accessibility of residents, risk management, and protocols to support best practices. In addition, the study session will frame a supportive role for a consultant team to audit our ADA compliance structure/administration, develop the steps necessary for an ADA transition plan, on-going ADA compliance monitoring, timelines and recommendations for all programs and services within the City of Minneapolis. Direct NCR staff to return to Council by the end of October 2014 with RFP for securing ADA consultants.

1.      Direct NCR staff to present a council study session in August 2014 on federal accessibility laws (Title II and Title VI) with the session covering the impact of laws for the accessibility of residents, risk management, and protocols to support best practices.
2.      Direct staff to return to the HECE committee by October 6, 2014 with further recommendations regarding an ADA transition plan, and on-going ADA compliance monitoring.
3.      Direct NCR staff to work with communications and the city coordinator’s office on short and long term language translation services.
