Discussion on the amended Final Report of the NRP Work Group and potential implementation steps.

Action Taken 8/21/2008: Postponed discussion on potential actions for one cycle, to the 9/11/2008 Committee of the Whole meeting in the 9/26/2008 Council Cycle.
Actions Taken 9/11/2008:
Passed amendment to the report deleting each reference to "Administrative Support Allocations" and replacing with "basic Citizen Participation Services"; and
Sent forward without recommendation the recommendation to Authorize the creation of the Neighborhood and Community Relations Department within the City Coordinator’s office with discretion exercised by the City Coordinator and his designee to bring forth further Council actions as necessary.
Referred to Ways & Means/Budget Committee a motion by Council Member Schiff stating " Sources of Funding: The Community Innovation Fund shall be funded by sources not authorized by the State Legislature under the creation of a new redevelopment tax increment financing district for (1) Target Center debt reduction and (2) neighborhood revitalization purposes (Laws of Minnesota 2008, Chapter 366, Article 5, Section 37).
2b. Neighborhood and Community Advisory Board
Consider resolution to establish the Neighborhood and Community Advisory Board.

Action Taken: Sent forward without recommendation the recommendation to pass the resolution to establish the Neighborhood and Community Advisory Board.
