Discussion Items

1. Funding Option Report

Receive and file supplemental report to the Framework for the Future from the NRP Work Group regarding the exploration of potential funding sources for the Neighborhood Investment Fund and for the City's commitment to NRP administration.

Action Taken: Received and filed report. Also discussed proposed resolution approved by IGR & W&M/Budget, as follows:

2. Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) Working Group:

Receive information relating to report back from the NRP Working Group on funding options for NRP ( W&M/Budget Action 3/18/2008: Approved a resolution securing investment in the neighborhoods of Minneapolis, Hennepin County, the Metropolitan Region and the State

Action Taken: a) Concurred with W&M/Budget Committee action approving a resolution securing investment in the neighborhoods of Minneapolis, Hennepin County, the Metropolitan Region and the State; b) Approved an amendment to the City's 2008 Legislative Agenda to add to the City Finance section support for the above resolution, with direction to staff to draft appropriate language.

Reports of Committees


1. The City Council meeting of March 21, 2008, will adjourn to Room 315, City Hall, for the purpose of discussing the matters of Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis v. City of Minneapolis and contemplated litigation tentatively captioned City of Minneapolis et al v. TJ Waconia et al.
