Minneapolis: Business Made Simple Recommendations
After many months reviewing City ordinances, gathering feedback from small businesses, and soliciting input from the involved City departments, City Attorney Susan Segal’s office put together a set of key goals and additional improvements focused on simplifying and streamlining the process for businesses to open, expand and thrive in the City. Mayor Betsy Hodges announced these initial recommendations in her 2015 State of the City address.
Minneapolis: Business Made Simple will focus on five key goals. Not only will these strategies foster investment in Minneapolis, smart regulation that’s clear and easier to follow will help businesses with compliance, saving them and City staff time and money.
1) Simplify and streamline
2) Provide special assistance for small businesses
3) Make things easier and faster
4) Improve coordination and eliminate inconsistency
5) Deliver better customer service and plan for continuous improvement
