Project Description

The Minneapolis Health Department is partnering with charter and private schools, and their catering companies, to make more fruit and vegetables available to students. Through a combined effort, five salad bars were placed in schools and promotional activities were organized to build excitement and introduce new vegetables to students.

Colorful signs designate the store as a member of the Healthy Corner Stores Program and also point out the healthy options to buy.

Why salad bars?

Partners:

Currenlty the Health Department is partnering with CKC Good Food, Done Right Catering, Aurora Charter School, Ascension Catholic School, New Millennium Charter School, Hennepin Charter School, MTS High School and MNIC Charter schools
