Ranked Choice Voting Implementation Update #8
On February 6 th, the City Council of the City of Minneapolis received reports from the City Attorney and City Elections Director regarding implementation of Ranked Choice Voting for the 2009 Municipal General Election. Following receipt of the reports, Council directed staff to proceed with a dual track, undertaking RCV implementation activities while preparing a contingency plan that includes a primary election.
