Instant Runoff Voting Implementation Update #3

The Secretary of State's Office Ranked Choice Voting Issues Group was organized in June to look at the system of voting that Minneapolis voters have chosen to adopt and other Minnesota cities have expressed an interest in. Since that time a subcommittee of the group, the Technical Advisory Committee, has been meeting to review MN Statutes and Rules to identify potential conflicts in general election law.
The Interim Report of the Technical Advisory Committee will be discussed at a meeting on Wednesday, September 19 th at 9:00 a.m. in the Office of the Secretary of State. The group will also be discussing next steps which include a legislative initiative and study of voting equipment options.
