Call for Public Artists

CALL FOR ARTIST: Temporary Fence Installation (PDF)

LOCATION: Currie Park, Cedar Riverside Neighborhood


DATE: May-July 2019. Specific dates to be determined in collaboration with the artist; dates must align
with local, community events.

SCOPE + BACKGROUND: The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) seeks an artist or artist
team to implement a community engaged art project at Currie Park in conjunction with community based
activities. The MPRB will work with artists to determine possible events and coordinate artist
participation. The community engagement would result in a temporary art installation on the chain link
fence surrounding an out of service wading pool. Artworks must include community in the concept
and/or creation of the artwork.
