Uptown meeting to focus on transportation, scale and style
The City of Minneapolis Department of Community Planning and Economic Development will host a community meeting Thursday, May 24, 7-9 p.m., at Calhoun Square, 3001 Hennepin Ave. (in the former retail space of Border Books on the first floor), as part of the Uptown Small Area Plan process. The small area planning process will result in long-term visions for the core of Uptown and South Hennepin Avenue. The agenda at the community includes:
- A report on outcomes from the March meeting that focused on open space, land use, transportation, and design;
- A summary of transportation issues and input requested on potential solutions; and
- An opportunity to respond to concepts for scale and character of buildings in different areas of Uptown.
