Volunteers needed to rehab homes in north Minneapolis
You can help a homeowner in need by volunteering during a one-day effort to assist homeowners in north Minneapolis whose homes are in need of repair or who have fallen behind in basic maintenance.
Rebuilding Together Twin Cities’ and Minneapolis’ Northside Home Fund are organizing the effort on Saturday, Sept. 8, which will make basic repairs on 10 residences on the Northside so they meet safety and building codes.
Approximately 300 volunteers are needed to perform a variety of tasks ranging from painting and light carpentry to cleanup
Volunteers are asked to commit to a full day, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and are encouraged to bring well-marked hand and power tools. Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older. Those younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
A continental breakfast, snacks, beverages, lunch and a project t-shirt will be provided.
