Minneapolis seeks feedback on proposed amendment to tax increment policy

Update (July 3, 2007) – City Council consideration of this amendment has been delayed and is expected to occur in September 2007.

The City of Minneapolis is seeking comments on a proposed amendment to the Minneapolis Tax Increment Policy. The Tax Increment Policy guides the City’s use of tax increment financing (TIF). You can review the document with the proposed changes to the policy by following the link below. Comments are due by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2007, and may be submitted electronically to joan.mathieu@minneapolismn.gov, or by mail or telephone to:

The City Council is expected to consider the proposed amendment on Friday, June 29, 2007, following consideration at the Community Development Committee at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19 and at the Ways and Means/Budget Committee at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 25.
