City seeks input on façade improvement program
Comments accepted through Dec. 31, 2007
As part of its Great Street Neighborhood Business District Program, the City of Minneapolis is planning to launch a new façade improvement matching grant program that will provide funding for exterior storefront improvements in commercial corridors, neighborhood commercial nodes, Hiawatha Light Rail Transit (LRT) station areas, and in several downtown neighborhood business districts.
The City is seeking input and comments about the terms and conditions of the program through Dec. 31, 2007. Send comments to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Starting in January the City will be seeking proposals from organizations to administer the program. The total funding available for façade improvement awards in 2008 is $400,000. The maximum grant amount is $50,000.
