Minneapolis seeks Empowerment Zone Administrator

The City of Minneapolis is seeking applicants to administer its Empowerment Zone. The Empowerment Zone Administrator will work under the direction of the Director of Economic Development and other senior staff in the City’s Department of Community Planning and Economic Development (CPED).

The Minneapolis Empowerment Zone is comprised of 18 neighborhoods and operates under a federal program that offers federal and state grants, tax exempt financing and tax credits designed to help develop healthy sustainable communities. The Minneapolis EZ is operated by a 30-member board composed of citizen and elected leadership from the neighborhoods located in the EZ.
