Job Fair for Teens Saturday at Central Library

January 2, 2008 (MINNEAPOLIS, MN)—A job fair for teens, ages 14-19, will be held on Saturday, January 5, noon-4 p.m. at the Minneapolis Central Library, 300 Nicollet Mall. The event is sponsored by the City of Minneapolis, State of Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, Minneapolis Public Library and Achieve! Minneapolis.

Participants will have the opportunity to talk to local businesses and organizations about job opportunities, college options and careers. Workshops on job-seeking skills and library career resources will also be offered.

"We’re working today to prepare teens for tomorrow," he added.

"We’re thrilled to host the second Teen Job Fair and provide a variety of options and information to teens," said Teen Central Librarian Christy Mulligan. "We really enjoy partnering with so many great local organizations and look forward to a busy afternoon at the library."
