Minnesota Family Investment Program
Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) is Minnesota’s welfare-to-work program. The purpose of MFIP is to provide support for families to help them move from welfare to unsubsidized employment. The program is a partnership between the State of Minnesota, Hennepin County and the Minneapolis Employment and Training Program (METP) of the City of Minneapolis.
- Additional information about MFIP is available on the websites of the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) and the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS).
- The Hennepin County MFIP Employment Services website was created to meet the needs of the job counselors working with clients in the MFIP or Diversionary Work Program programs.
