Strategic planning: Connecting City goals to departments' work
Strategic planning is the process the City uses to set its long-term goals and develop plans to achieve those goals. The City's most recent strategic plan includes the City Vision, Values, Goals and Strategic Directions, all of which were adopted in March 2014. For more information, visit www.minneapolismn.gov/citygoals.
The City's vision, values, goals and strategic directions also inform how departments and the City spend financial resources.
Department business plans (2014-2017)
The citywide strategic vision, values, goals and strategic directions provide clear direction for departments to plan their work. Every four years after City goals are developed, each department develops a four-year business plan. Business plans address what the department does, what it is trying to achieve, how to achieve it, and how it will know when it has been successful. All business plans listed below are PDF documents and require Adobe Reader.
