Nicollet Avenue Paving - Phase 1
Project Type:The proposed project is approximately 1 mile in length and is along Nicollet Avenue from Lake Street to 40th Street. The street was originally constructed in 1954 and an asphalt overlay was done in 1977. The proposed roadway will consist of two traffic lanes (one each way) and parking on both sides. The project will include removal and replacement of the pavement, curb and gutter, driveways, sidewalks, and storm drain inlets.
Project Limits: The project is located in south Minneapolis on Nicollet Ave between Lake Street and 40th Street. Phase 1 will be constructed in 2012 between Lake Street and 36th Street. Phase 2 will be done in 2013 between 36th Street and 40th Street.
Construction Start Date: The proposed project is scheduled to start May, 2012.
Length of Construction:It is estimated the construction would be during the 2012 and 2013 construction seasons.
Traffic Impact:Unknown at this time
