East Minnehaha Parkway Resurfacing
This is a Parkway Paving project. The existing asphalt roadway surface will be profiled and new asphalt will be placed on the roadway. New pedestrian ramps will be replaced to meet ADA standards
The E Minnehaha Parkway Resurfacing Project is located on E Minnehaha Parkway from the east curb line of 27th Ave S to the east curb line of 38th Ave S and E Minnehaha Parkway from Longfellow Ave to Cedar Ave.
No work is taking place on 28th Ave S, 34th Ave S, and 38th Ave S within the project limits.
Old RR tracks between Minnehaha Ave and Hiawatha Ave will be removed and the street repaired.
Construction Start Date:
We will begin replacing select curb and gutter on eastbound Minnehaha Parkway between Woodlawn and 38th Ave S on August 5. Milling will begin the week of August 12th. The westbound portion will begin after the eastbound is substantially complete. The intersections at 38th Ave S and 39th Ave S will remain open to traffic.
Length of Construction:
Approximately seven weeks
Detours and full road closures will be in place. The project area will have no parking signs posted in front of homes and businesses. Vehicles parked in violation of signage will be towed to the City of Minneapolis impound lot.

August 26, 2014
All eastbound Minnehaha Parkway open to traffic.
Eastbound Minnehaha Parkway resurfacing complete.
Rail track removal complete.
August 7, 2014
East Minnehaha Parkway from Cedar to Longfellow is complete.
Eastbound Minnehaha Parkway from the east curb line of Woodlawn Blvd to the west curb line of 38th Ave S was complete August 5th.
Westbound Minnehaha Parkway between the east curb line of 27th Ave S and the west curb line of 38th Ave S will start after the east bound portion of the parkway is substantially complete in mid to late August.
East and westbound Minnehaha Parkway between Minnehaha Ave and Hwy 55 on August 18th.
August 1, 2014
There will be no resurfacing work on the 38th and Minnehaha Intersection; 38th and 39th will remain open to traffic.
July 31, 2014
The westerly section between Cedar and Longfellow is complete.
June 23, 2014
Any residents that have landscaping, irrigation systems or decorative plantings on City of Minneapolis right-of-way should remove those items before the project starts.
