Intersection Improvement Project
Project Type:
A number of improvements are being made to make the intersection a better environment for pedestrians.
This includes:
· Better landscaping, including plants and trees
· Improved lighting
· Benches
· Steps
· Railings
· Bird spikes on bridge girders
Project Limits:
The project is located south of downtown near the intersection of Franklin Ave, Cedar Ave and Minnehaha Ave.
Construction Start Date:
Summer 2012
Length of Construction:
Project should be completed in late summer 2012.
Traffic Impact:
Local access will be maintained. There may be intermittent closures, and advance notice will be provided.
