Project Type:
This is a paving resurfacing project. Resurfacing projects use a mill and overlay process. This process will consist of removing a portion of the existing asphalt pavement surface and placing a new surface over the entire street. The purpose of the resurfacing program is to extend the life of a roadway by approximately 10 years. Without this program, streets in the in the program would not see surface improvements for many years.
Project Limits:
The 39th St W Resurfacing Project is located in southwest Minneapolis between France Ave and Sheridan Ave S.
Construction Start Date:
Construction will begin July 2nd 2012, from Chowen Ave S to Sheridan. Chowen Ave S to France Ave will be completed in 2013.
Length of Construction:
The project is complete.
Traffic Impact:
The work will be performed during full road closure. See Detour.
Pre-payment Information:
Prepayment is made to the Minneapolis Finance Department. Pay statements are sent only by request and the taxpayer is solely responsible for obtaining said statement. Full prepayments may be accepted only through December 31, 2012 without interest. Partial prepayments are not provided for. No further notice of prepayment will be published.
