VanWhite Bridge & Paving

Project Type:
This is new construction of bridges over BNSF Railroad and Bassett Creek, and roadway construction from I-394 and Dunwoody Blvd to Fremont Ave & 2nd Ave N. 

Project Limits:
Van White Paving and Bridge is located west of downtown, west of I-94 and north of I-394.  It extends south from the intersection of Van White Memorial Parkway and Fremont Ave N and connects to Dunwoody Blvd under I-394.

Construction Start Date:
Construction began in April 2012

Length of Construction:
The construction will run through 2012 with final completion by fall 2013.

Traffic Impact:
Traffic will be slightly impacted by the I-394 on ramp at Dunwoody Blvd.  This work is scheduled to begin in July 2012.  This project is mostly new construction so impacts will be minimal.

The project is progressing into the final construction phases.  It is anticipated the road will be open to traffic by the end of August.
