Kenny area/58th Street West to 54th Street West; Irving Avenue South to Lyndale Avenue South

Construction Start Date: 
April 5, 2016

Duration of Construction: 
5 Weeks
Private utilities will start infrastructure improvement work ahead of the city resurfacing the streets in the area.
Work on the west side of Anthony School will take place in June.

Traffic Impact:
Short-term road closures, parking restrictions and detours, flaggers controlling traffic.

Other:
If the curb and gutter is marked for replacement on your boulevard, please remove all plants, bricks, pavers, and other belongings off the boulevard prior to the start of the project.

Project Updates

July 20, 2016: Project is complete. Sod will be placed on Irving Avenue this fall.

June 17, 2016: The project is complete except on Irving Avenue between 58th and 57th Streets, next to Susan Anthony School.

April 29, 2016: Removal and replacement of miscellaneous concrete structures is complete.
Street milling will be complete on April 29th. Asphalt paving on 56th Street was delayed this week because of the rain.
Private utilities continue to work in this area ahead of the City of Minneapolis resurfacing the streets.
