Audit Committee Vacancy
The Audit Committee was created on 12/18/2009 by Ordinance 2009-Or-190. The Audit Committee shall be responsible for the oversight of the City’s internal audit function. The Audit Committee is also responsible for appointing and removing the Internal Auditor; review and approve the Internal Auditor’s annual audit plan; review the audit reports directed to it and make recommendations to the City council on the appropriate course of action on any such audit reports; monitor the Internal Auditor’s results; and review reports of the State Auditor prepared for any of the city’s departments, boards and commissions.
Deadline: Applications will be received until October 18, 2019.
There is one (1) vacancy requiring Council appointment, for a 3-year term beginning January 1, 2020, and ending December 31, 2022.
Note: Seat may have incumbent seeking re-appointment.

Relevant Ordinance Information:
The two citizen members shall be residents of the city who are not current city employees, are not past or current elected officials of the city council or any of its boards or commissions, and who have expertise in auditing, preferably public sector internal or management auditing, or financial management. The two citizen members shall be appointed as follows: one by the mayor and one by the city council through the open appointments process. All citizen member appointments will be made for three-year terms and no citizen member shall be appointed for more than two terms.
The audit committee shall meet a minimum of four times per year.
There is no Compensation.
