Community Environmental Advisory Commission (CEAC)
Provides a forum for discussion, comment and taking action on environmental issues/projects of concern to the City. Members represent a broad cross section of the community: Environmental Advocacy, Environmental Expertise, Community representatives, and Business representatives.
The commission uses the Citys open appointment process.
Term of Appointment
Preferred, but exceptions have been made (notably for business representatives)
City Coordinator’s Office - Sustainability - CEAC provides assistance and advice to the city's efforts with its principal focus on sustainable development. The committee has 19 members including residents, representatives from environmental advocacy groups, technical environmental experts, businesses, and local agencies.
CEAC may suggest priorities for City policies, programs and projects in accordance with criteria, dealing with environmental urgency, the scale of environmental impact, ease of implementation, cost and benefits.
