Purpose
|
Promotes high ethical standards and conduct, and fosters a healthy ethical culture throughout Minneapolis city government; Investigates allegations of improper conduct of a department head, an elected official, or officials appointed by the Mayor or City Council to boards, commissions and similar agencies and has the power to recommend discipline for violations of the Ethics Code; Recommends changes to the provisions or administration of the Ethics Code and gives opinions on interpretation of the Code; Prepares and submits an annual report to the Mayor and City Council detailing the ethics activities of the Board and the City during the prior year. The City’s Ethics Officer will serve as staff to the Board.

Regular meeting schedule for the Ethical Practices Board is monthly at 3:00 p.m. on the 3rd Tuesday of the month in Room 321 City Hall.
