Project Details

Lane changes will include bike lanes in each direction of 27th Avenue between Franklin Avenue and University Avenue. Two of the four travel lanes will be removed. Shared lane markings will be added on 27th Avenue between University and 4th Streets, as well as on 4th Street and 29th Avenue.

Striping will be in permanent tape between Franklin Avenue and University Avenue. A layer of seal coating will be laid over the roadway surface, and permanent tape will be laid into this layer. Portions of the project will be milled and overlaid in order to create a bike lane which is one surface. This will take place on 27th between Essex and University, east side, and on 27th between Yale and Franklin, west side. These areas will then be seal coating, and will also have permanent tape.

Parking changes will take place between the I-94 Bridge and Franklin Avenue. Parking will be added between the I-94 Bridge and Yale, both sides. Parking will be removed on 27th between Yale and Franklin, west side.

Bike racks will be installed.
