Midtown Greenway bridge to be renamed for former U.S. Rep. Sabo

The Midtown Greenway Bridge, which stretches across Hiawatha Ave. and the light-rail transit line, is being renamed in honor of former U.S. Rep. Martin Olav Sabo. Come join us for celebrations.

26th and Hiawatha Ave.

Sabo will attend a ceremony at 4 p.m. There will also be a bike parade, refreshments and more!

The bridge officially opened to bicycles and pedestrians last November. Its the first cable-stayed bridge in Minnesota, and has a main span of 220 feet.
