North Minneapolis Greenway Planning Open House

The City of Minneapolis is working to develop plans to convert a low-traffic street in north Minneapolis to a greenway. Now in the earliest planning stages, the route can become a bike boulevard (shared between bikes and cars but with traffic calming features), a full greenway with no motorized traffic, or a “half and half” with both a trail and car traffic. The bikeway could increase green space and allow for amenities such as community gardens, playgrounds, barbecues and public art.

The first north Minneapolis greenway open house will take place on October 16 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Folwell Park Recreation Center, 1615 Dowling Avenue North.  Please see the attached flier or visit the project website for more information. The first north Minneapolis greenway open house will take place on October 16 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Folwell Park Recreation Center, 1615 Dowling Avenue North.  Please see the attached flier or visit the project website for more information.  The community may also give feedback at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NMplsGreenway until October 30.
