No-Cost Kenneling for Victims of Domestic Violence
In 2010 MACC worked with the Minnesota Alliance for Family & Animal Safety (MNAFAS) along with the Minneapolis Police Department to help us start our program of temporary no-cost kenneling of pets for victims of domestic abuse.
The purpose of this program is to provide free pet kenneling to individuals who are trying to leave a violent domestic relationship, but are afraid to because of concerns for their pets' safety.
Please note that MACC can only provide no-cost housing for these animals for a period of 7 (seven) days.
For more information on this program contact 311 (612-673-3000), or for other programs like it contact MNAFAS (952-646-6563 or http://dayoneservices.org/pet-protection/).
