City of Minneapolis Off-Leash Dog Parks

There are a number of designated off-leash parks available for you and your dog’s enjoyment. A special permit is needed to use the parks (see below).

Off-Leash Dog Parks

St. Anthony Parkway - 700 St. Anthony Parkway across from the Training Center

Franklin Terrace - 925 Franklin Terrace

Lake of the Isles - 2845 E. Lake of the Isles Parkway

Loring Park - Near Maple St. and Harmon Place

Minnehaha Park - 4801 South Minnehaha Park Drive

Victory Prairie - 4701 Russell Avenue North

Dog Grounds - Located at the corner of 4th Avenue South between 10th and 11th Street


Off-Leash Park Permits can be obtained through the Minneapolis Park Board or at MACC

Off-Leash Park Permit Application Minneapolis residents must have pet licenses for their dogs.  Failure to license your animal will result in an administrative citation of at least $100.
